Virtual Business Mission:
Human Technology USA
Due to the current COVID related circumstances in the Midwest of the US we unfortunately have to postpone our event to Q1 2021. Additional details will be posted here shortly. The United States is the world's largest medical device market. Many of the large medtech manufacturers (Medtronic, Stryker, St. Jude) have their headquarters in the core regions of the United States. The Medical Alley region has established itself as a hotspot in recent years due to leading universities, research centers and companies focusing on human technology. Medical Alley is home to more than 15,000 healthcare and health technology companies. The high-tech sector plays an increasingly important role in this region and is represented primarily by the areas of life sciences, medicine, information technology and electronics. World market leaders in cardiac rhythm management and cardiovascular, such as Medtronic, Boston Scientific and St. Jude, as well as many other medtech companies, such as the global company 3M, have their company headquarters, development centers or production locations in this region. Apart from leading industrial companies, Medical Alley also hosts the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, the largest medical clinic center in the world, as well as one of the largest American insurance companies in the health sector, United Health in Minnetonka. The virtual business delegation "Human Technology USA 2020", planned in cooperation with Human.technology Styria and LIFE SCIENCE AUSTRIA as well as The Medical Alley Association Minnesota, is intended to give Austrian companies access to leading medtech companies in the US and thus to network and develop international business relationships. Leading representatives from US research and industry will provide information about the latest developments and research projects in the areas of life sciences, biotech, medical technology and biomedical engineering and are available for one-on-one online meetings on November 9th and 10th, 2020. |
How It Works
1:1 video conversations are a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners from the comfort of your own home or office. The 30 minute sessions provide enough time to build connections. When the time is up, your video call will end automatically and you can move on to your next session.
You do not need to download any additional software. Our platform enables you to share your screen to show documents and PowerPoints. Conversations will be held in English
If you encounter any difficulties during your sessions, our technical staff will be available for assistance.
What You Will Need:
- Reliable high-speed internet access
- A microphone and a camera (if not already installed on your PC/laptop)
This event is powered by go-international, a joint initiative by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW) and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ).
